Software Engineer
I am Jovane Samuels, a Computer Science graduate from Western Governors University. My professional journey began at Clarke Historical Library, where I gained hands-on experience in process improvement, automation, and scripting. This role laid the foundation for my expertise in optimizing workflows and developing efficient solutions.
During my time as a Software Engineer Fellow at Headstarter AI, I further honed my skills in both front-end and back-end development. I worked extensively with technologies such as ReactJS and PostgreSQL, which broadened my understanding of software development and its various facets.
Beyond my professional pursuits, I have a passion for music, particularly cassette collecting, and I am an avid football fan. I also enjoy customizing my desktop setup to enhance my work and leisure experience.
My fascination with Computer Science stems from the field's boundless potential for creativity and innovation. The dynamic nature of technology continually fuels my desire to learn and adapt. I am particularly interested in embedded development and back-end development, where I can apply my skills to create impactful solutions and delve deeper into how systems operate at a fundamental level.

Enhanced digital preservation efforts included developing and maintaining the digitization pipeline to improve accuracy, developing bespoke Python software solutions to optimize preservation goals, and writing comprehensive documentation for various software.
Provided technical support to residential and business customers, resolving internet connectivity issues, router configurations, and email setup, and conducted on-site installations of internet services, including modem/router setup, network cabling, and testing to ensure optimal performance.
